ESG Integration

At GIA, we have a fundamental belief that companies who incorporate ESG practices into their processes and work flow tend to generate compelling financial results.

Our philosophy is formulated around two principles that must coexist in the portfolios: return-oriented investments and ESG compliant issuers. We are guided by the following philosophical principles:

  • We prioritize companies and sovereigns taking steps to enhance social wellbeing, promote sustainability and protect the environment through their processes, products, actions or behavior;
  • ESG measurements are complementary to our credit analysis and all investments will be selected with an excess/total return mindset.

We have developed a proprietary multi-factor scoring methodology to analyze a company’s or sovereign’s adherence to ESG principles. Our methodology has been integrated into our investment process and systems enabling us to build globally diversified portfolios that meet our clients’ individual ESG directives.

Son Doong Cave

Located in a UNESCO listed park in Vietnam, Son Doong Cave is the world’s largest cave. More impressive, however, deep inside the cave sits a flourishing jungle 200 meters below ground level where the cave roof has collapsed. The rain forest is home to flying foxes, endangered tigers, rare langurs and the largest stalagmite ever found nicknamed Hand of Dog.
